Since February 2015, Emergency is involved in the implementation of two European projects (Collaborative Research Projects): "EbolaMoDRAD" (Modern approaches for Developing bedside RApid Diagnostics) and "FILODIAG" (Ultra-Fast FILOvirus molecular DIAGnostics), supported by the European Commission under the Innovative Medicines Initiative Programme.
The two research projects aim at developing rapid and accurate diagnostic tools to handle the current and any future Ebola crisis.
Emergency participates to "EbolaMoDRAD" with other seventeen European partners (Sweden, United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Italy and one African State, Senegal), and to "FILODIAG" with three other European scientific institutions (Germany, Czech Republic and Italy).
